I registered for a Google Certificate course but haven't received the confirmation email.

The confirmation will be sent from Coursera and may land in your spam folder. Be sure to check spam, but if you haven't received the confirmation within 48 hours, please message help@nclive.org to resolve the situation. Invites are sent out daily, Monday through Friday.

Can individuals under 18 participate in the certificate program?

While there is no specific age limit to study these courses, they are hosted on Coursera, which requires users to be at least 13 to have an account.

I signed up for a certificate course and was prompted to sign up for a 7-day trial or pay for Coursera. What should I do?

This program does not make all courses on Coursera free. The list of free courses and certificates can be found at nclive.org/grow-with-google. If you search for courses outside of the curated list you will see courses outside of the sponsored courses that are on the main Coursera platform and have a cost. If you attempt to sign up for a course before receiving your invitation, you will also be prompted to pay.

I receive an error message: "You don't have access to this content. If you need access, please contact your organization for assistance."

This is likely due to not signing up with the emailed invite link, or signing up for a course outside of the free courses that are part of this program. If you are having trouble resolving the issue, please reach out to help@nclive.org to resolve the situation.

I signed up multiple people with a single email address, but only received a single invite.

Each person requesting an account will require their own unique email address in order to sign up.

Eligibility & Residency

This specific enrollment program is reserved for residents of the State of North Carolina. If you live outside of North Carolina please visit the official Grow with Google website to find enrollment opportunities available in your area.

Privacy & Data Sharing

To provide you with access to these professional certificate courses, please be aware that your full name and email address will be shared with Coursera and Google for the sole purpose of creating your learning account and granting you access to the platform. Any additional information collected in the sign up form (such as demographic data or feedback) will be anonymized. This data is used strictly for statistical reporting and to help us improve the program for all North Carolina learners.

Important info about signups and availability

Limited space is available (and filling up fast!), if there is no space available you will be added to the waitlist and invited if/when space becomes available.

Filling out the form and receiving your email invitation to join the program does not guarantee your spot, joining the program and enrolling in a course is required to secure your license.

If your account becomes inactive/idle for over 30 days your license will be revoked and you will have to re-request a license to gain access again. Any progress you have made in your enrolled courses will be saved.
